On June 26th 2012 William Horsley, the International Director of the Centre for Freedom of the Media, University of Sheffield and Media Freedom Representative of the Association of European Journalist, presented a background Report summarising the many and growing threats to media freedom in Europe during the period 2009 to 2012 at a session of the Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg.
