Every year CFOM and the Department of Journalism Studies at the University of Sheffield organise International Journalism Week (IJW). IJW aims to reinforce CFOM’s educational goals by inviting young and future journalists from within the department to attend a series of talks by practitioners, researchers and educators and participate in a series of activities and workshops over the course of the week.
IJW 2023
This year’s IJW focuses on the theme: Journalism under attack, with the sub-theme press freedom under attack. The CFOM panel this year focuses on misuses of media law and is chaired by our International Director, William Horsley. CFOM also hosted an online panel that discussed safety issues journalists face during times of elections. You can find out more about CFOM and IJW 2023 here.
