Our JSRN Regional Working Groups host a range of events and meetings in order to discuss issues of journalism safety and media freedom. Asia and the Pacific

Clare Arthurs, co-lead of the Asia and Pacific Regional Working Group hosted a talk with Dr Anna Ross from The University of Melbourne on the topic of  reporting on violent crime and mental health and how this can reinforce social stigma. Dr Ross is working on practical application of her research in journalism workshops to change practices and improve mental health outcomes for both journalists and public health.
