The worrying trend of escalating violence against journalists as they battle to report on vital public interest stories during the COVID-19 pandemic is the theme of a new Pod Academy podcast by CFOM Research Fellow Rachael Jolley.
The podcast which is entitled “The dangerous business of journalism in the pandemic” features CFOM International Director, William Horsley, and Co-Director of Research Lada Price, who discuss how trends of governments cracking down and criminalising journalism have been exacerbated during the pandemic.
